One of the things where you spend your money better than in clothes during Erasmus is travelling. Two weeks ago we had some holiday days and I went around Holland with some friends from different nationalities like Poland, Finland, Uruguay, Italy and Spain. I had already been in Amsterdam but it was nice to visit other cities and enjoy our road trip around the country. I just wanted to share with you some of the photos I took. There are not outfit photos but they are beautiful though.

Maastricht
Maastricht is the southernmost city in the Netherlands, and is the capital of the province of Limburg. It claims to be the oldest city in the Netherlands (a claim it shares with Nijmegen). It contains some magnificent buildings with plenty of old houses, lovely cathedrals and a spectacularly cobblestoned town centre. The city is also well known for its fine cuisine, excellent shops and multicultural atmosphere. Its university is very well-known in Holland which attracts many national and foreign students to the city.

Rotterdam
Rotterdam is the second largest city in the Netherlands (behind Amsterdam). Its port is the largest in Europe. It is not as picturesque as other Dutch cities, you can see modern buildings and skyscrapers. That is because Rotterdam was bombed during the second world war and the heart of the city was almost completely destroyed. They decided to create a 'new' and better city so the old damaged buildings were torn down in the process.

The Hague
The Hague is the seat of the Dutch government, and the residence of Queen Beatrix, although Amsterdam is officially the capital city. Internationally, The Hague is often known as the "judicial capital of the world" due to the many international courts that are located in the city.
Some of the photos were taken in M.C. Escher's museum. He is one of the world's most famous graphic artists. He is most famous for his so-called impossible structures.

Amsterdam
Amsterdam is the capital of the Netherlands with impressive architecture, lovely canals and great shopping. Whether you prefer culture and history, serious partying, or just the relaxing charm of an old European city, you'll find it.

Hope you have enjoyed it!
The weather has changed a lot after two weeks, now everything is full of white snow :).
