Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week- EGO

on | |

Last Thursday, 18th February, started Madrid Fashion Week showing us the new Fall RTW 2010 collection. The first day was for EGO, all the new Spanish designers, starting in the fashion industry, showed us their designs.
I was already going to Cibeles but not in this day, so I felt excited when the night before the catwalk Iris, form Kirei Girl da Madrid, phoned me and asked me to go with her to see two of the new Spanish designers: Cati Serra and Georgina Ordinas. Thank you Iris!!! I must to gratefully you as the best way!! You are so nice!! :)

I liked the designs of Cati Serra, the knitted sweaters, the harem pants and the most I liked where the colours: lots of flowers, bordeaux, mustard and brown hue.

Cati Serra's collection is based on gender representation, and how sexual identity is but an illusion. It proposes a more neutral term with a free and plural unisex collection that seeks equilibrium and an alternative to stereotyped roles.

lots of photos, flashes, good music, fashion magazines editors at first line... It was perfect but too short. Inmmediately, other designer was showing

Georgina Ordina designed a total black collection inspired by Marcel Duchamp. It was like black&white photografy and the garments where geometric and linear combining triangular and rectangular volumes.

The triangular volume refers to the human figure, broad shoulders, while the rectangular curves are hidden women. That is, are garments that evoke body volumes of women and men alike who wore them.

I liked the area they made of Cibelespacio, which had so many activities. Every fashion magazine had their place and also you could had your hair combed, being make up...

Madrid fashion week continues until Tuesday, 23th February and I am so excited because I have received invitations to Sita Murt catwalk!!! She is a famous Spanish designer expert in knitted items and her clothes are showed in large international important exhibitions as Bread & Butter Barcelona, Premium (Berlin), Gallery (Copenhague), Coterie (Nueva York) and Modefabriek, Who’s Next and Paris sur Mode (Paris).

I wasn't able to post this before because I went out to the mountains the weekend with my friends! We enjoyed it so much because we were nine of us and it was long time since we were all toguether.

H&M sweater, leggings & shoes
Hazel bag
Miss Sixty gloves
See by Chloé coat (bought in Paris)

The coats are lovely. I really like the first coat, almost looks like a dress, in black. Is it silk? Gorgeous.
